Spiritual Life

The Word of God produces your thinking; your thinking produces your emotions; your emotions produce your decisions; your decisions produce your actions; your actions produce your habits; your habits produce your character; and your character produces your destiny. Where you end up in life will be based on how you handle that progression. What words are you producing in your life to feed your spirit, mind, body and soul DAILY? You should consciously be growing each day.

We have 50,000 to 80,000 thoughts every day. Your thoughts are always moving during our waking and sleeping times. We are always “on” if you consider what takes place during these times in our lives. We are taught to take every thought captive. This may be an undaunting task when you consider all of our thoughts. To help us understand and overcome this challenge, we are given additional guidance in scriptures:

Philippians 4:6-9 King James Version (KJV)

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

2016 Gives you new opportunities to reach your godly potential!

Everything that we do in life, begins with a thought. Each of our life domains requires our engagement in thought to experience inevitable growth. Do you always think through what you are going to do or have been called to do? Is God at the forefront of your thoughts, actions and deeds? Do you honor Him with your thoughts? Are you prepared for this moment and beyond? Are you exactly where you thought you would be? Have you decided exactly where you want to go? These and thousands of other questions are waiting to be answered as you embark into this New Year. Are you ready?

Did you begin the New Year 2016 thinking that you need more, you need better, you need a change, you need to let go, you need to hold on, you need a makeover, you need to move on, you need to work it until it fits, or other thoughts distracting or fueling your growth.

In order to make decisions about your life, you must have a thorough knowledge of who you are: your personality, skills and abilities, interests and values. Without this knowledge, you are not fully equipped to make the appropriate decisions to feed your mind, spirit, body and soul. This year, this month, this day or this hour, make a commitment to learn to grow your spirit in as many ways as you can to enhance your journey called life.  Look forward to each day. Consider these words by Roy Lessin: “Just Think - Just think, you're here not by chance, but by God's choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else. You are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.” This is the best time of your life to think and soar with the possibilities before you. You will experience inevitable growth as a result of your commitment, effort, passion, and determination.  Think, pray and take action every day.
