Topic:  Open Your Mouth and Speak Up! There Are Miracles Inside.

Proverbs 18:20-21 -   A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Colossians 3:16    -  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Personal Development (Application to all life areas):

In your opinion, why is it important to open your mouth and speak up? How often have you or someone you know responded to life or questions by stating, “I have nothing to say”?  Learn how to speak our futures into existence and speak life over ourselves.  It all begins with how you talk. Have you ever listened to yourself talk? Have you ever listened to the content of what you say? Are you speaking life or death – with words from your mouth?

Throughout Jesus’ ministry, we see him speaking to natural things and getting results, and not only that, but he tells us we can do the same thing. The first step is declaring what you want. It’s about speaking words of faith, the command of faith, and believing that what you say will come to pass. This means watching what you put into your heart, mind, soul and body. We have discussed our thought process before during our coaching connection sessions. You have got to consciously and intentionally put good things inside you and cover everything with prayer. Let’s talk about our exposure to other things that influence our conversations and communications:

●Our friends, our posse, our tribe, our family – RELATIONSHIP ACTIVITY

●The type of music we listen to and the words- EAR GATE ACTIVITY

●The type of television we watch- EYE GATE ACTIVITY

●The type of social media we engage in – as participants as well as active listening – SOCIAL AND SOCIETAL GATE ACTIVITY

●Literature we read  and study– INTELLECT GATE ACTIVITY

●Other voices – physical and spiritual – WORLD GATE ACTIVITY

●The Bible – God’s Word – posturing ourselves for listening, learning and speaking. To open our mouths with praise and thanks. SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Everything our senses allow in, impact how we will respond to them. Examine your calling – we have all been called and are expected to be engaged in living the life God has provided to us as His ambassadors, spokespersons and disciples. Before we speak we are to be still and listen, ask for wisdom, speak confidently and with boldness, decree and declare specific actions and things into and over our life and for other people and circumstances. Your confidence is demonstrated with comments and self-talk which include  I can, I will, I must, I expect the best, I am on it, I know, I declare and decree, I do believe, God is able, I trust and obey – all because of who lives inside of me.

We must take the opportunity to speak out with wisdom in our homes, in the marketplace, in our communities, on controversial issues, speak encouragement to those who are oppressed and depressed, to speak to ourselves, to defend the faith, to defend those who are not able to defend themselves, to defend the Gospel, to pray, to intercede, to speak life over and change our own circumstances – in every life area, to bring wisdom and understanding to others.

While coaching and ministering I find these opportunities to be challenging from the worldly perspective and within the Christian community. There are many who are limited as result of a lack of knowledge, teaching, preparation, courage and execution. However, I know that their growth and change are possible – when they are ready. It becomes a daily decision to walk in faith and just do it.

Questions:

1.    How are you encouraged to speak up?

2.   What do you see as miraculous in your daily living that you want other people to know about it?

3.   If you didn’t concern yourself about what others may think of you or fear of saying the wrong thing – What would you do to speak up?

4.   How are you guarding your mouth?

5.   How do you know when to speak up?

6.   What spiritual fruit are you eating?

7.   What is dwelling on the inside of you and how are you going to respond to it?

Now that you know, how will you design a new road map to wellness, gratitude, healing, joy and whatever you need to GROW?
