Scripture: Psalm 100 - A Song of Praise for the Lord’s Faithfulness to His People

“1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”

You must realize that the new year will bring new opportunities for growth in every area of your life. This also means new challenges. The stronger you get, the more difficult your challenges may appear. Through it all, you must believe and have faith in the best outcome as well as this is simply your moment to get, to be and to live your best life now. There will be numerous opportunities to reframe what seems to be an impossible situation and see the best in your situation and in people that you encounter in your life. It may not be easy all the time; however, it will be doable!

This means purposefully and intentionally looking for the silver lining.  This means creating a silver lining in some situations. This means seeking and asking for the silver lining. Once you find it or it is manifested for you – rejoice. Every day and every breath should give you a thumbs up to rejoice and be exceedingly glad.

Along the way, you will have time to surrender your sadness and let God bring back your joy. You will have to let go of some things and detach yourself from anything that will not let you prosper and grow. It means saying goodbye to yesterday’s bad news and bad decisions.  It may also mean pulling yourself up and saying, NEXT to people and opportunities. Seeing and experiencing life creates fertile ground for believing.

We ended 2016 with goals set for the new year – January. Now you have to be sure to set or review your written goals for February. Keep your dreams in front of you and work them out – for God’s glory and your story. You make it happen. Today is the time and now is the moment.

Learn how to live well and be well. Renew your mind daily – get rid of the garbage! See yourself as blessed and encourage yourself.  This is your life experience - a fresh start with each breath. No one can live it for you; however, others may watch and learn through you.  Know your own mantra – what makes you feel alive – what makes you desire to wake up in the morning and do what you do! Know it and then live it.

When darkness tries to overshadow your light – what is your fight song?  What is your battle cry?  What do you use to shake it off and shake it up? How many times do you need to holler out loud and make the enemy back up off of your dreams, your family, your life?  I am telling you, there is no magic pill to do any of this, so it must come from within you.  Deliberately, each day, do something to make your day and someone else’s day – share the good stuff.
